Darwin

Darwin is accessible by rail, road and air

Day 1
Orientate yourself with this northern capital of Australia on a city sights tour. You will see attractions including: Fannie Bay Gaol, the Military Museum, the Chinese Temple, hand feed fish in the harbour and visit the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory for an Aboriginal art exhibition and a fantastic display on Cyclone Tracey that devastated Darwin in the 1970's.

Day 2
Offshore you can visit the Tiwi Islands, made up of Bathurst and Melville Islands, for a tour that enables visitors to interact with the local Aboriginal tribe.

Day 3
Visit the Wharf Precinct for a fresh seafood meal. The casino in Darwin is an attraction in itself, try your luck gambling or alternatively enjoy the other facilities in the complex; fitness centre, jazz on the lawn, restaurants and shops.
Kakadu National Park is a great place to stay for an extended time. Kakadu is known for its wildlife including birds, spectacular Aboriginal rock art, cruises over the flood plains, and spectacular scenery. Visit the Aboriginal Cultural Centre in Cooinda and the Park Headquarters and Visitors Centre.

Alice Springs

Darwin is accessible by rail, road and air
If possible travel on "The Ghan", a unique world renowned premier rail experience from Adelaide to Alice Springs.

Day 1
Allow a whole day to spend in Alice Springs see attractions such as the Telegraph Station; the first Central Australian settlement, Panorama Guth; a gallery displaying a panoramic painting of Central Suatralia, visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service; the outback aerial medical service or visit the famous outback radio "School of the Air".
"Take a Camel to Dinner"'- ride a camel along a dry river bed and then enjoy an Aussie BBQ.

Day 2
Join one of the day tours that highlight Aboriginal culture and bush tucker food surrounding Alice Springs.

Day 3
Leaving Alice Springs head south to Uluru/Ayers Rock, accessible by road or air. Uluru/Ayers Rock is the world's largest monolith. Explore Uluru/Ayers Rock and take a guided base walk that gives you valuable insight into the Aboriginal history and culture of the area. Hop on a Harley for a guided motorcycle ride around Uluru/Ayers Rock and continue onto Kata Tjuta/Olgas.

Day 4
Visit the Uluru Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre location within the National Park. Hike through the valley of the Winds in the Kata Tjutas/Olgas. At sunset view the rock for a dramatic effect afterward dine under the stars eating gourmet bush tucker.
